Welcome to QGGA

The genome revolution is generating vast amounts of genotypic and phenotypic data and consequently there is an increasing requirement by industry and academia for individuals with expertise in quantitative genetics and analysis of genomic data.

The Quantitative Genetics and Genome Analysis course at the University of Edinburgh is a full-time taught programme of study starting in September 2010 and leading either to an MSc degree (12 months) or a Diploma (9 months).

The course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to apply quantitative genetics theory to practical problems in both the biomedical and animals science industries and to undertake research in evolutionary genetics, animal breeding, human genetics and genome analysis.
